1. A Chinese woman aged 21 years, complains of tiredness and muscular pain. She has a history of recurrent mouth ulcers and on examination, she has a raised rash on her cheeks.

 

 

2. A man comes into casualty with a dislocated shoulder. He has been in 3 times for the same dislocation in the last year and complains of bruising easily. O/E his skin is thin and rather stretchy.

 

 

3. A woman presents with painful tender white lumps on her elbows. On questioning she also says that her hands go white in the cold, and her drug history includes frequent use of OTC Gaviscon. O/E she has small red marks on her hands, and shiny puffy fingers.

 

4. A woman of 45 complain of transient pain in her toes which seems worse in the morning. On questioning the pain affects both feet equally.

 

 

5. A boy of 14 is referred by his GP with a heart murmur. He is tall and slim and wears glasses. During the history he mentions his uncle died prematurely from heart disease.
